I find myself calling out lists of things I can improve upon daily. My favorite part of every painting I make is learning something or trying something new. To see results of a novel idea or an instinct to do something different or simply finding out what doesn’t work, or sometimes works better than I thought it would. That’s the true joy in creating something; it’s when you actually surprise yourself. You make something visually captivating, eye candy…its delicious. Parts of it were hard, you may have even screwed up, but in the end the ownership of having made something you like looking at is a true indulgence of one’s senses and a great emotional boost.
I’ve met with and painted with and for so many sweet, genuine people recently and I’m thankful for the connections I have made, to have crossed their path and left a piece of me with them. It’s why I do what I do. I love to paint, I’m drawn to it like a moth to a flame. When I’m not painting…I’m envisioning painting. I am so pleased with my pursuit. To spread the experience of creating something you can feel invested in is evolving in my life and I’m loving every bit of watching it grow. Someday, I hope you get to experience making a painting this way.
Access to the Body Prints Painting Experience is about to widen and I hope you’ll stay tuned and Join The Movement in one way or another.
